a woman talking to her doctor about partial hospitalization program

The Solution Based Treatment & Detox partial hospitalization program (PHP) is our highest-level outpatient treatment program. Clients live in our homestyle treatment center and receive medical care for 60 days or more. Through a combination of cognitive-behavioral therapy techniques, education, 12-step principles, medication management, and group therapy, clients strengthen their recovery while living in their own homes or sober living.

A partial hospitalization program is more intense than outpatient drug rehabilitation, but it has fewer requirements–and costs–than most residential addiction treatment options

Partial Hospitalization & Substance Use Disorder

All psychoactive substances carry some risks of addiction. Dependence on a substance occurs when a person’s body begins to require the substance in order to continue functioning at the body’s new “normal.” In other words, when the substance use stops, the body feels deprived of an expected and necessary component of its accustomed state and responds by producing significant withdrawal symptoms.

Our PHP care takes place from 9 am to 3:30 pm Monday through Friday, with weekly individual therapy sessions with both a certified Chemical Dependency Counselor and a licensed therapist. Clients experience sober social outings and adventures, including sports competitions, trips to the beach, and hiking expeditions.

Discover Your Options

Sometimes addiction feels like a battle you are fighting alone or one that is too difficult to win. We know that although the struggle may feel overwhelming, it’s easy to get started with detox and receive the treatment you need to move onto a happy, healthy, sober life in Murrieta, California. We offer the following programs at our treatment center:

  • Drug & alcohol detox
  • Medication-assisted treatment
  • Intensive Outpatient program
  • Sober living
  • Intervention services

Since addiction can lead to psychological and physical dependence, seeking an additional level of treatment, like a PHP, can save your life or the life of someone you love. As we now know, many prescription medications taken in exact adherence to a doctor’s recommendations can result in physical dependency. Addiction is not a choice; when the brain gets the message that a substance is needed for survival, the body will seek out that substance. When you struggle with addiction, a partial hospitalization program in Murrieta, California, can provide the support, tools, and guidance you need to recover fully and get your life back.

What a Partial Hospitalization Program in Murrieta Offers

A partial hospitalization program (PHP) in California is an outpatient program that allows clients to return home every night. Unlike an intensive outpatient program (IOP), a PHP meets approximately five days per week. A partial hospitalization program can also provide medical detox services on an outpatient basis. During treatment at a Solution Based Treatment & Detox’s PHP, staff will introduce you to evidence-based strategies to help you learn how to manage cravings.

Another essential component of our PHP involves helping clients identify and change negative thoughts, emotions, and behaviors in response to excitement, stress, and anger.

Learning how to cope with negative feelings, (e.g., anxiety, depression, and isolation) is another central component of our partial hospitalization program. Finding new approaches to emotional changes is an important part of our addiction treatment program. Identifying triggers is another way to boost your recovery in a PHP. Although it’s practically impossible to avoid every trigger, learning how to address them is one of the essential strategies we teach at SBT&D.
